At an event, Marcassoli said:
"I'm less skilled with words than I am with wood. Wood has always fulfilled some of my needs. In my work over the past few years, by gluing together pieces of wood with different shapes and angles, I've managed to create very subtle and harmonious forms that would be impossible to create from a log. Forms that highlight the emptiness within them, which, like clouds, should awaken memories, emotions, and images."
